Colonial Secretary's office, Hongkong, 15th January, 1907.

I am directed to inform you that His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government intends to suspend you from the exercise of your office as a Senior Sanitary Inspector on the grounds set out in the enclosure in this letter, and I am to call on you to state in writing to reach this office by 11 A.M. on Saturday the 19th instant any grounds upon which you rely to exculpate yourself.
